What we store
Signing in with Google gives us your email address and your name. Google also offers your profile picture — we don't use it. The picture next to your name is drawn by us from your initials.
What we keep: your name and email; the venues you mark as played and the dates; the names you type under “played with”; your private notes. If you use Room Studio, your designs. If someone has given you access to a private area, that grant; if you have created API tokens, a hash of each token (never the token itself).
Analytics: no ad trackers, no tracking cookies. Site-wide page views come from Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and filters out bots. On venue pages we also count views and outbound clicks ourselves — venue, page and browser type only, never who you are or your IP address.
Where: everything lives in one Supabase database in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1); the site runs on Vercel.
Deleting it all: email ethan@myescape.world from the address you signed in with and we remove your account and everything above.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your personal information.
- We don't show your Google profile picture, to you or anyone else.
- We don't send marketing email.
- We don't run ad trackers or set tracking cookies.
Puzzle progress
Puzzle progress is stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
Booking links
Links go to venues' own websites; we earn nothing from your bookings. If that ever changes we will say so here and in the footer.
Business listings
Listing information (names, addresses, websites) comes from public sources. We don't show third-party photos. Venue owners can claim their listing from its page, or write to us to have details corrected or removed.
